With only 24 hours in Osaka, I knew I would only get a taste of what the city had to offer. That being said, I still managed to see a few of the highlights in Japans’ second largest metropolitan area. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Osaka. Here is a run down on how I spent a day exploring the city.

Is it too early to start thinking of 2019? No, I don’t believe it is my friends. December is upon us, meaning the new year is closer than we {read: I} can process. Yongma Land: Tips for Visiting Seoul’s Abandoned Amusement Park
One of the most Instagrammable places in Seoul, Yongma Land has become a photographers heaven over the years. Yongma Land originally opened in 1980 as a functioning amusement park. Eventually it closed down in 2011, leaving the entire park, and it’s rides, abandoned. Now a local business man runs the operation, allowing locals and tourists alike an opportunity to pose with the broken down rides. While a creepy, rusted amusement park might not sound appealing at first, I promise you it’s worth a visit. Continue Reading

Joo Chiat: The Most Instagrammable Neighborhood in Singapore
Ever since the Myspace days, I have been obsessed with photography {if we could even call it that} and photo editing. Back then it was a sad attempt at what I thought to be creative, original editing styles. In fact, for the longest time {including just a couple of years ago} my photos were over saturated, poorly framed, and unoriginal. And yet that’s exactly what happened in Singapore when I ventured into the neighborhood of Joo Chiat. Continue Reading
10 Trendy Things to do in Singapore
As I arrived to Singapore, via bus from Malaysia, my eyes have never been wider. The only plausible way to describe my entrance would be Katniss Everdeen witnessing The Captial for the very first time. The contrast between the rough, dusty Malaysian countryside and the crisp, tidy, {basically deserted} streets of Singapore was astonishing. Continue Reading
Solo Travel to Malaysia: What I Would Do Differently
My first impressions after visiting my first Islamic country* went a lot like this: walk off the plane, hop on the subway, realize no one else is wearing anything that resembles a grey, sleeveless, jumpsuit, feel embarrassed, disembark the subway, enter the chaotic streets of Kuala Lumpur, and state out loud to absolutely no one, “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Thailand anymore”. Or something like that. Continue Reading

I have anticipated drafting Malaysia inspired blog posts since returning from Southeast Asia. Something about that country completely took my breath away, for various reasons.
