First and foremost, please excuse my temporary hiatus. I cannot guarantee this will be the last one over the course of the next six weeks. Over the next month or so, I need to be nearly 100% focused on preparing for my future endeavors. But more on that in another post…

HATS OFF TO YOU, HUMPHREY
Guys, I’ve been doing it all wrong.
And I feel comfortable admitting that whole-heartedly.
Since arriving in New York, most weekends I tend to stay within the walls of the concrete jungle. And each weekend that I do stay in the city, I tend to find myself on an uptown subway into Manhattan. Continue Reading
TAKING THE HIGH ROAD
Or in this case, the High Line.
Can I really go one post without a pun? Nope, didn’t think so. Continue Reading
A Day in New York City Under $20: New York on a Budget
New York City is known for being one of the most expensive cities in the world. I can absolutely attest to this and constantly feel as though I am throwing my money away with each passing day. Like, I might as well just take a wad of cash and distribute it in individual one-dollar bills like they used to do in music videos {yeah, remember those things?}. As a budget traveler, this is one of the most uncomfortable feelings and something I am doing my best to avoid. Continue Reading
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME
I have been a baseball fan since birth. I mean, it wasn’t the cliché tale of my father putting an infant sized baseball cap on my head the moment I left the womb, but you get it. Growing up, my parents introduced me to my first true love: the San Francisco Giants. I would literally race home, turn on the television, and watch the afternoon game after school. On the reg. 24 Hours in Tribeca: A Detailed Itinerary
I recently found myself in the triangle below canal street, also know as TriBeCa. There are certain neighborhoods that I am drawn to in any city. In London, you could find me in Notting Hill on any given day. In San Francisco, I would sip champagne in the Marina District on a Sunday afternoon. And in New York, it’s been a toss up between TriBeCa and Chelsea. Both neighborhoods contain so much hidden charm within the concrete walls of the city. Both also cost an arm and a leg. It’s obvious that I am not alone in my love for these areas of the city, as you will find locals swarming the best eateries and cafes each weekend. Continue Reading
APRIL SHOWERS
We all have those days. The ones that knock you down. Or leave you feeling like the last crispy french fry in a McDonald’s brown paper bag that we all tend to eat around. Well, today was one of those days for yours truly.
Nothing seemed to go right. And everything inevitable went wrong. Continue Reading
NOTABLE NORMALCIES // 4.24.2017
Well hey there, it’s been a quick minute.
It’s been another extremely busy couple of weeks here in the big apple. Live music, happy hours with coworkers, botanic gardens, birthday celebrations, the Harlem Dance Company, and obviously BRUNCH. These are all things that have been consuming me over the last couple of weeks. New York ceases to amaze me with the constant {and I mean constant} opportunities that I find myself involved in. Continue Reading
WELCOMING SPRING AND THE OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH
“If flowers can teach themselves how to bloom after winter passes, so can you”
Technically, it’s spring in New York. But you could have fooled me. On the official ‘first day of spring’, I was walking around a snow covered Central Park. This being said, I witnessed the first buds of the year peeking through the fresh powder. And it gave me hope. Continue Reading
THE MOST STUNNING VIEWS IN NEW YORK CITY FOR UNDER $3
As I mentioned last week, my very best friend of over twenty years was in town for a whopping five days. Now, five days in New York feels more like five minutes. Much like London, there is so much to see and do in this city that five years still may not be an acceptable amount of time to consider it an accomplished visit. Continue Reading
