The Most Insta-Worthy Cafes in Busan, South Korea

Whenever I visit a new city, it is always one of my goals to scope out the trendiest, chicest, most Instagrammable restaurants and cafes. A majority of traveling consists of eating and drinking, and since white wine {and wine in general} is basically non-existent here in Korea, I’ve turned to iced lattes this spring and summer. It’s safe to say, over the last few months cafe hopping has become a specialty of mine. Surprisingly Korea has the most Insta-worthy cafes I’ve ever been to, and that includes Europe and the Americas.  Continue Reading

VIDEO: BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA

I recently visited Korea’s second largest city located along the coast: Busan. I packed a lot into two days, though barely scratched the surface of things to do in Busan. Some of the highlights include Gamcheon Cultural Village, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Fish Market, and Waveon Coffee. I loved it so much, I plan to return this weekend. Hope you enjoy!

I taught three 5th grade classes, caught up on lesson planning, and grabbed dinner with some friends. This entire experience has been rewarding, humbling, and honestly life-changing.

10 Things EPIK Doesn’t Tell You About Teaching English in South Korea

Prior to beginning my job as an ESL teacher with EPIK, I had no prior experience teaching English.   You can imagine the panic that arose when I found out I would not only be teaching four grade levels, but two after school classes and an adult class. I didn’t even know that was a possibility. These are examples of a few things EPIK fails to disclose about your new job as an ESL teacher. I am here to share a few things I wish I would have known before teaching in South Korea.  Continue Reading
