I visited the French Riviera for the first time determined to embrace all that was luxury, glitz, and glamour. I had my heart set on witnessing all the heavy hitters. After some meticulous planning, and lots of indecision, I eventually settled on three of the most popular destinations along the South of France: Nice, Monaco, and Cannes. Continue Reading

NICE TO MAKE YOUR ACQUAINTANCE: AN INTRODUCTION TO NICE, FRANCE
When I think of the French Riviera, I think blue and white striped umbrellas, over-sized sun hats, white wine, glistening water, and a touch of class embedded in every crevice. That being said, it’s no surprise I chose Nice as my ‘base’ along the French Riviera. Nice epitomizes everything you could ever wish for in terms of glamour, sunshine, and bliss. Continue Reading
LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND THE FAMOUS: A DAY IN CANNES
If we learned anything from Good Charlotte, it’s the fact that lifestyles of the rich and famous are nothing to complain about. I wanted to craft my own opinions about the matter by dedicating an entire afternoon to that of luxury and lavish. And what better place to do so then Cannes, France? Continue Reading
WHAT IS LIFE IF NOT A GAMBLE? VISITING THE MONTE CARLO CASINO
Before arriving in Monaco, I had no idea that it was it’s own country. Small as it may be, Monaco packs a punch when it comes to dreamy travel destinations. This upscale area of the world is home to many luxuries — the most famous being the Monte Carlo Casino. After all, what is life if not a gamble? Continue Reading
DO AS THE FRENCH DO: A PARISIAN BUCKET LIST
What’s black and white and red all over? Me, in Paris. Everyone that has been to Paris, carries with them a story. Mine includes love, heartbreak, and so many croissants. Paris has been described as romantic, fashionable, artistic, dreamy, glamorous… the list could go on. If I had to use one word to describe Paris it would be: magical.
I did not necessarily discover the magic my first go around in Paris. However, upon returning to the city of love, the magic of the city captured me against my will. I left Paris a new woman. I believe if you allow Paris to consume you, you too may return home a modified version of yourself. Keep reading for my list of highlights in Paris. Continue Reading
RECOLLECTIONS EN ROUTE: AN AIR BNB NIGHTMARE IN PARIS
I first must disclose that while the experience I am about to share was horrendous to say the least, I have generally had a fantastic experience with Air Bnb over the years. But hey, not every system is perfect. And if you can’t look back and laugh on your slight misfortunes in life, than you are doing it wrong. Continue Reading
PALACE OF VERSAILLES: A PHOTO DIARY
The Palace of Versailles is one of the most photogenic landmarks in France. You may recognize the infamous Hall of Mirrors and the Orangery from social media, magazines, blogs, etc. Before stepping foot on the estate, I was determined to capture the perfect shot of those trademark images. That being said, nearly every inch of the Palace of Versailles and it’s estate, is photo-worthy. In fact, some of my favorite photos from the property were not your standard shots. Continue Reading
A GARGOYLES VIEW: WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING NOTRE DAME
“Paris, the city of lovers is glowing this evening, true that’s because it’s on fire but still there’s l’amour” — The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Fun fact you may not know about me: I constantly listen to Disney movie soundtracks when drafting blog posts {and in life in general}. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that during my first trip to Paris, I made it my mission to get a peek at what it was those Gargoyles were constantly singing about in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Continue Reading
HOW TO PREPARE FOR A VISIT TO THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES
Unfortunately, I did not prioritize well enough to include a trip to the Palace of Versailles during my first visit to Paris. Therefore, when I returned to the city of love on a whim, I was sure to book tickets and drag Sarah along for the journey.

This past Thanksgiving, I did a very un-American thing and traveled to my favorite city in the world: London. Continue Reading
