Today I took a quick ride into town to exchange {and purchase more} clothing items for Bali next month. The countdown is on, three weeks to go!
A couple of wonderful things happened today.
1. A random man stopped me on the street with the compliment of, “I just wanted to stop and tell you how nice you look” {despite the fact that I had 100% forgotten to put on mascara this morning after applying an entire face full of make up}
^ loving dem curves
2.The specific comfy t-shirt dress I had seen online was nowhere to be found in store until the amazeballs employee I ran down remembered where the LAST ONE was hiding. And it was my size! {obviously purchased, it was meant to be}
^ they say Piccadilly Circus is London’s version of Times Square, but having visited both there truly is no comparison {still a fun place to drop by! especially at night when the neon is in full force}
^ the infamous Regent Street
3.The sun stayed up teeeeeny bit longer this afternoon to allow me to whip out my camera and capture the beautiful evening
^ the West End is a minute walk up the road from Piccadilly Circus and always promises fantastic shows
4.I ate sushi for dinner!
The itinerary this weekend:
High tea, visiting old acquaintances, and a visit to Windsor castle!
Then it’s Manchester, Scotland, and I’m off to Bali.
It’s unbelievable to me that I get to travel the world, witnessing and doing things some people may never experience in their lifetime. It has not been taken for granted once since my arrival. I wake up each morning here with such a sense of peace. This city is one of the highest rated in the world for a reason. There is so much life down every cobblestone street. I have never grown fond of a city as quickly as I have with London.
With that, I’ll finish my cuppa and say goodnight.
