The Palace of Versailles is one of the most photogenic landmarks in France. You may recognize the infamous Hall of Mirrors and the Orangery from social media, magazines, blogs, etc. Before stepping foot on the estate, I was determined to capture the perfect shot of those trademark images. That being said, nearly every inch of the Palace of Versailles and it’s estate, is photo-worthy. In fact, some of my favorite photos from the property were not your standard shots.
I felt as if I was living in a photographer’s dream all afternoon. The lighting was spectacular, the colors were vibrant, and my subjects were flawless. I visited the estate in mid-September when the leaves were changing. Gold, green, and yellow highlights covered the shrubbery and glistened throughout the tree tops. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world witnessing Versailles in such perfect conditions. Regardless, I don’t believe there is a bad time to visit the Palace of Versailles.

After witnessing the magnificent landmark, I now believe no trip to Paris is complete without a trip to the Palace of Versailles. Visiting the estate can easily be accomplished in a day if travelling from Paris. And of course, don’t forget your camera; you won’t be disappointed!
