LAST DAYS IN LONDON

It’s July 1st! A day I’ve been anticipating as much as I have been dreading.

I have one month left in London. 30 days to be exact.

How did this happen?

I won’t begin completely reflecting until the day comes that I pack up my suitcase and board the plane to Madrid, Spain. But it doesn’t hurt to get a head start. Maybe it will hit me when I ‘mind the gap’ on my last tube ride to Heathrow, but I hope not. I can’t imagine leaving London.

I know I’ll be back. Just like I know I’ll be back to New Zealand.

When places become another ‘home’ to me, I always want to return. And always with loved ones. I have yet to share my New Zealand home with my parents. And I hope to share my London home with Eric one day, despite his lack of interest in the idea.

But nothing compares to the first time a different country becomes ‘home’.

And yet, there are so many things I still need to see and do here! I shall attempt the following in the next 30 days:

Lavender Fields in Surrey

Stonehenge

National History Museum

Tate Modern

Trafalgar Square

Aladdin the Musical

Oxford

Drinks at the Shard

Brighton Beach

Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace

 Wish me luck. I think I have a chance of getting this all done. I am starting with the lavender fields this weekend for Crystal’s last weekend in London {tear runs down face}. I will continue on with the list and hopefully add some good restaurants to the list. I have yet to blog about food, but being gluten and dairy free, it might be worth sharing the spots I enjoy.

I have been given a new drive in regards to my blog. After some feedback and perspective from some readers, and inspiration from my favorite travel bloggers, I want to share with you my best stuff. All of my efforts. Pristine content.

Also, after reading my good friend’s blog post about her 30 day challenge/detox, I decided to create my own 30 day challenge, {along with my travel list}. This way we could encourage each other. One blog post every day for 30 days, Sarah? My dream come true. You know I’ll be refreshing Spicy Daises every 12 hours.

So for my 30 day challenge, I commit to the following, starting today:

3 Blog Posts a Week {with all of that best stuff/efforts/pristine content I promised earlier}

Going to the Gym 3x a Week {beaches in Barcelona, sailing in Croatia, need I say more?}

Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free {still a work in progress, but we will get there!}

Finishing ‘The Luckiest Girl Alive” {my current read}

Getting 8 Hours of Sleep Every Night {this one might be a stretch, but I am someone that needs her sleep, both for my well-being and especially for health purposes, so it’s time to put down the phone and grab some z’s}

Ignoring the Hate {whether it be from readers who comment on my blog, or someone with attitude at the grocery store, the world is too crazy of a place at the moment to focus on hate}

Posting on Instagram Daily {something I always try to do for rachelenroute, but sometimes lack}

Find New Blogs to Follow {any suggestions on this one would be helpful!}

So there you have it, it’s not much, but it’s manageable. And it’s out there in the blogosphere so I must commit now right?

I thank everyone that has been following my blog so far. There are many, many adventures to come this year. Including traveling to over 15 countries. Can you imagine the 1,000’s of upcoming photos?
