It’s officially Summer here in London!
I’ve worn shorts, dresses, and sandals all week long. The windows are left wide open when I fall asleep. I even participated in an outdoor movie night.
This is what I’ve been missing.
I figured I would take advantage of the gorgeous sunshine this weekend and make my way to Chelsea.
Known for its exclusivity and wealth, Chelsea is not somewhere you want to miss. You don’t need to live here to enjoy all that it has to offer.
Fake it ’till you make it, right?
I have experienced three of the four seasons here in London {my favorite being Spring}. And I am ecstatic that Summer showed her face just before my departure.
Then again, Winter could pop in just to see me off, if I’m {un}lucky. That’s the thing about London weather, you just never know. London doesn’t follow the rules, she colors outside the lines.
And it’s one of the things I won’t miss about living here.
Not the rain. I love the rain.
But the inconsistency.
I enjoy living in Northern California where the seasons are predictable. I am not the most spontaneous individual. I prefer plans and schedules and routine. And that’s just me.
^ side note, check out Nell’s if in the area. Though overly priced, it is overly delicious as well.
For my upcoming trip to Europe, I have every country accounted for in regards to accommodation and transportation. Not only do I enjoy saving money, but my anxiety levels go down knowing I will have a place to lie my head each night.
For some, this would sound awful. Not flexible. Rigid. Too scheduled.
But that’s how I like it.
So it’s rare that you will find me coloring outside the lines.
I can only imagine all the things that won’t go to plan during my time in Europe and Australia {and my final destination that is yet to be decided upon – Japan or South America?} But I will take them as they come.
And I will be with Eric, who brings out the spontaneity I possess, but tend to keep at bay.
The ying to my yang.
I’m becoming more and more thrilled about the idea that this time next week I will be in Spain! Pinch me.
But thank you London, for whipping out another gorgeous day. I see your attempts to keep me here. Show me what I’ll be missing.
And let me tell you,
it’s almost working.
JAPAN!
Knew you would be a fan of the idea! Miss you xx
Japan!!! So so good!
I am thinking Japan as well! 🙂
