It is officially my last week here in New York City, and I am collecting all of the feels. December has undoubtedly been my favorite month in the big apple, in terms of the atmosphere of the city {saving the best for last I suppose}. Holiday season kicked in at the beginning of the month and I have embraced every second of it. Let’s recap the notable moments of the last few weeks. Continue Reading

CONCRETE JUNGLE WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE OF… JUST NOT MINE
I’ve anticipated writing this blog post for months now. I’ve known the title. I’ve mapped out what I would like to say. And I knew actually sitting down to get it down on ‘paper’ would be bittersweet. Well, here we are. Continue Reading
PUMPKIN SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE
Over a cozy phone call to my mother the other night, she mentioned how much she missed the blog. Which got me thinking about how much I, too, miss the blog. I could include a million disclaimers about my lack of presence on this space {gag me, we have heard it all before}, but instead I would rather just write.
Because, ultimately, that is what I miss most.
So, if you would be so inclined, let’s talk about pumpkin spice and everything Autumn {read: nice} shall we?
10 {MORE} THINGS I LEARNED AFTER MOVING TO NEW YORK
When I first moved to New York I had much to learn. Some of those lessons were somewhat obvious upon arrival, which you can read about here. Some of them took a few months to digest. Now that I have been living in New York City for six months {I know, whaaaaat}, I am here to share 10 more things I’ve learned after moving here.
Recollections En Route: Hello, Hamptons
I had never seen so many Louis Vuitton carry-on bags in my life. It was drizzling on 40th and Lex and yet everyone {myself included} was dressed for the beach. I looked around as I noticed the strands of my hair expanding with every minute that passes. The damn humidity. Continue Reading
LONGHOUSE: BEHIND THE SCENES OF AN EAST HAMPTON RESERVE
First and foremost, please excuse my temporary hiatus. I cannot guarantee this will be the last one over the course of the next six weeks. Over the next month or so, I need to be nearly 100% focused on preparing for my future endeavors. But more on that in another post…
Back to the important stuff! Continue Reading
HATS OFF TO YOU, HUMPHREY
Guys, I’ve been doing it all wrong.
And I feel comfortable admitting that whole-heartedly.
Since arriving in New York, most weekends I tend to stay within the walls of the concrete jungle. And each weekend that I do stay in the city, I tend to find myself on an uptown subway into Manhattan. Continue Reading
TAKING THE HIGH ROAD
Or in this case, the High Line.
Can I really go one post without a pun? Nope, didn’t think so. Continue Reading
A Day in New York City Under $20: New York on a Budget
New York City is known for being one of the most expensive cities in the world. I can absolutely attest to this and constantly feel as though I am throwing my money away with each passing day. Like, I might as well just take a wad of cash and distribute it in individual one-dollar bills like they used to do in music videos {yeah, remember those things?}. As a budget traveler, this is one of the most uncomfortable feelings and something I am doing my best to avoid. Continue Reading
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME
I have been a baseball fan since birth. I mean, it wasn’t the cliché tale of my father putting an infant sized baseball cap on my head the moment I left the womb, but you get it. Growing up, my parents introduced me to my first true love: the San Francisco Giants. I would literally race home, turn on the television, and watch the afternoon game after school. On the reg.
