Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places in the world. There, I said it.
The scenery itself is enough of a reason to visit. Then add on the hand crafted cheese (with the exception of the fondue I tasted in Zurich), the Swiss chocolate, a butt load of adrenaline pumping activities to join in both summer and winter, and hills that feel ‘alive with the sound of music’ {mostly from all the cow bells around the necks of brown cattle roaming around}.
If you are not sold on visiting, check out my quick Switzerland itinerary here, a post expressing my love for the village of Lauterbrunnen here, or activities to partake in while visiting Interlaken here.
How about a fun fact to tempt you? In 1911 J.R.R. Tolkien visited the valley featured in the photo above {in Lauterbrunnen} and got inspired for Rivendell in Lord of the Rings!
And if you still are not convinced Switzerland deserves a visit, maybe these photos will change your mind:
So, did it work? Have I enticed you enough to want to visit Switzerland?
Yaaaaas! It worked! I’m thinking of planning a trip for April or May! Thanks for the inspo 😉
Whooooop! Get it girl.
Switzerland is one of the most picturesque and astonishing countries I’ve been to, Rachel. Your post is so inspiring. Is Switzerland a good road trip destination?
